Whatsapp Calls did not work in Saudi Arabia even with VPN. If you have Whatsapp on your Saudi mobile number, you would get this message saying ‘Whatsapp Calling is not available in your country’. Well, not anymore.
It has been spotted by many users that both Whatsapp voice and video are now working with VPN. We have tried and can confirm that as of now they’re working absolutely fine with VPN.
What remains to be seen is if its a glitch or Whatsapp has now disabled this block from their side. If they have disabled the block, the services will keep working fine on VPN just like other VoIP Apps.
The facebook-owned that has over 1.2 billion users launched voice calling in 2015 and rolled out video calling in November last year. As of June 2016, there are 100 million voice calls being made everyday on the application. But the calling option remains blocked in Saudi Arabia & United Arab Emirates.
