Abu Dhabi-based AI-powered recruitment platform Professional.me has raised $3.1 million in a seed funding round led by Raha Beach Ventures, bringing its total funding to $4.6 million. Its previous round of $1.5 million pre-seed was also led by the same firm.
The recruitment platform and Raha Beach Ventures are both founded and led by Ryan Adams.
Raha Beach Ventures, according to its website, is a startup studio that provides founders with engineers, designers, financial expertise, marketing, partner networks, and mentoring. In return, it takes equity, usually between 35% and 50%, depending on the level of support provided.
Professional.me, which launched in October 2024, positions itself as an alternative to traditional resume-based hiring. The platform uses what it calls “personalized micro-LLMs,” custom language models that create detailed professional profiles for both job seekers and employers beyond standard resumes.
Its models, the startup says, are trained on data spanning 167 industries and 1.2 million tasks, with bias-aware recommendations designed to promote inclusive hiring.
Ryan Adams, the founder and CEO of Professional.me, said, “We’re not digitizing résumés; we’re replacing them. Each company and each professional gets their own micro-LLM that acts as a context-aware advocate. It surfaces the best-fit matches automatically and meaningfully.”
The startup claims to have processed over 300,000 professional profiles since launch. Its client base spans Europe, the UK, and the Middle East and North Africa region.
The company claims its AI screening can reduce the time needed to review a single resume from over two minutes to 15 seconds, potentially saving recruiters hours of manual work. Rather than replacing existing hiring systems, Professional.me integrates with current applicant tracking systems to provide what the company describes as “AI-driven shortlists” and skill matching. The platform offers a free tier for up to 100 candidates monthly, with premium pricing starting at $0.24 per candidate.
Unlike many AI recruitment tools, the company says its platform looks at organizational structures, team dynamics, and business goals on the employer side, while also factoring in portfolios, certifications, and industry engagement for job seekers.
With this new round of funding, Professional.me will expand its engineering team, strengthen its network of data and research partnerships, and scale platform access to more employers across EMEA and beyond.
