Pepsico’s Greenhouse Accelerator Program Call for Applications is Now Open

Among the announcements made at this year’s RiseUp Summit of the decade is that Pepsico’s Greenhouse Accelerator program is now accepting applications for its second edition in the MENA region. Startups that offer technological solutions in the agriculture world are encouraged to apply, and funding will focus on those addressing some of the most intractable challenges facing agriculture today.

The Greenhouse Accelerator Program is a Pepsico initiative focused on sustainable breakthrough innovations in agriculture.  “Achieving sustainable economic development and food security are critical at PepsiCo, and startups can help unlock unique and disruptive solutions to help realize these goals and foster a sustainable future for generations to come. The Greenhouse Accelerator program is a golden opportunity […] for start-ups to expand their network, identify gaps and opportunities in their business, and gain a wealth of knowledge…,” said Mohamed Shelbaya, CEO of PepsiCo North Africa.

The theme for this year’s round is sustainable agricultural practices. Through a six-month accelerator program, accepted innovators will receive a $20,000 cash grant to kickstart their initiatives. One-on-one mentorships from Pepsico and partners will be provided, with business networking opportunities and market activations. Startups will also have the opportunity to pitch their ideas during COP28 taking place in the UAE at the end of the year, and one winning company will be awarded $100,000 to further its expansion.

Startups with innovations capable of advancing sustainable practices in agriculture can apply online for a spot here.
