Noon has launched geo-targeted ads on the back of its delivery riders through a new partnership with Flyby, a UAE-based company that produces digital smart boxes for fleets, the company announced on Thursday.
The rollout includes hundreds of Noon riders across the UAE, equipped with Flyby’s “Digital Delivery Boxes.” These internet-connected screens display static ads based on a rider’s location and time of day, triggered when they enter specific geofenced areas chosen by advertisers.
Advertisers use Flyby’s platform to upload creatives, define zones, and track performance. Pricing is based on screen-time, advertisers are billed for the total number of minutes their ads are displayed, regardless of how many bikes are involved. Rates vary depending on time and location.
Flyby also provides Bluetooth-based impression tracking, detecting nearby devices within a limited range to give advertisers an estimate of how many people may have seen the ad. While not precise, it offers directional data that combines physical presence with ad display time.
The move helps Noon generate additional revenue from its logistics operations, while Flyby expands its presence in the regional digital out-of-home advertising space.
