Omar is the co-founder and CEO of Nawah Scientific, a Cairo-based startup that offers research services to individual scientists and businesses for natural and medical science, through its online platform. Omar who is a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Geneva started Nawah in Egypt while pursuing his doctorate in Switzerland.
During this session, he’ll talk about the early days of Nawah Scientific, the challenges of building a science startup in the region, raising money, growing the platform beyond Egypt, and more.

Mohammad & Dana are the co-founders of MUNCH:ON (previously LUNCH:ON), a Dubai-based food delivery app that had started as a lunch delivery platform for corporate employees and has recently expanded its offering to residential meals. MUNCH:ON had closed its Series A with $5.5 million last year.
Before starting MUNCH:ON, Moahmmad was an Assistant Vice President at Barclays. He came through the Barclays Graduate Program and spent his time there working in the products team, the Investment Club, FX and Fixed Income sales, Derivatives/Structured Products, investment research and Private Banking.
Dana, prior to starting MUNCH:ON was a Partner of Business Development at AlJal Capital—a boutique financing and venture capital firm in the United Arab Emirates. She previously also worked for Procter & Gamble in the United States for over seven years, benefiting from a wide range of assignments within the company and gaining expertise in Corporate Strategy, Marketing, and Consumer Insights.
During the session, they’ll talk about building MUNCH:ON, the recent expansion and rebranding, raising money and competing with the global giants of food delivery in MENA.

Mohammed is the co-founder and CEO of Sary, a Saudi B2B ecommerce marketplace that enables grocery stores, restaurants, and cafes to order their inventory. Sary recently raised $6.6 million in a Series A round.
Mohammed started Sary in 2018. He was earlier working with Careem, serving the company as their General Manager for Riyadh.
During the session, Mohammed will talk about building and pivoting Sary into a B2B ecommerce platform for mini markets, restaurants, and cafes, building an A-class team, how his experience at Careem his helping him with Sary, raising millions of dollars in VC, and more.
