Batelco-owner acquires Egyptian software solutions firm Link Development for undisclosed sum

Beyon Solutions, a subsidiary of Beyon Group (also known as Bahrain Telecommunications Company), which owns Bahrain’s leading telecom operator Batelco, has acquired Link Development, a leading Egyptian software solutions firm, with operations in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Beyon, per statement has acquired a controlling stake in the Egyptian firm.

Founded in 1996 by Khaled Bichara, Link Development provides technology solutions across different platforms and products to organizations in both public and private sectors. The firm offers services in the areas of cloud and infrastructure, data and analytics, operational excellence, strategy and consultancy, and employee and customer experience.

The company serves clients all over the region through seven offices and a workforce of 700 employees. Some of its notable clients include the Government of Dubai, Labor ministries of Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Islamic Development Bank, Magrabi, Bupa, Vodafone, and many other leading international and regional names.

Beyon Solutions also operates in a similar area, offering enterprises and governments with cloud, application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and consultancy services.

With the acquisition, Beyond is expanding its footprint, creating what it says will be one of the largest hubs of digital transformation services in the region.

The acquisition of Link Development is the eighth exit for A15, the Egyptian investment firm that previously won big with exits like Tpay and ConnectAds.

The deal will be closed after receiving required regulatory approvals in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
