Dubai’s Journify raises $4 million to help brands boost ad performance with first-party customer data

Journify, a marketing technology startup, has secured $4 million in funding led by Silicon Badia with participation from Saudi’s RZM Investment and other strategic investors, it announced today.

Founded in 2023 by Taoufik El Jamali, Omar Al Shoubaki, and Amine Chouki, and headquartered in the US and UAE with technology hubs in Morocco and Jordan, Journify helps companies make their online advertising more effective. The startup’s platform collects and organizes customer data, then uses artificial intelligence to target ads more precisely, helping businesses get better results from their marketing spending.

In simpler terms, Journify helps companies understand who their customers are and what they’re interested in, then uses this information to show ads to the right people at the right time; all while protecting customer privacy.

In their own words, the startup gathers first-party customer data from mobile apps, websites, POS and SaaS tools of its clients, and then sends it to their ad platforms, without having them write a single line of code.

Since launching in March 2024, Journify has quickly reached $1 million in annual recurring revenue within nine months, it claimed in a statement. Leading brands like Jarir Bookstore, Dar Al Arkan, and Dr. Nutrition have used Journify’s platform to boost their advertising returns by 50% while cutting the cost of acquiring new customers by 80%.

Taoufik El Jamali, co-founder and CEO of Journify, said, “After years of navigating the complexities of traditional CDPs, our team understands the challenges marketers face in activating first-party data efficiently. We built Journify to eliminate these pain points, providing a seamless, AI-powered data activation solution that enables brands to focus on results, not technical hurdles.”

The founding team has previously worked with technology companies like Smartsheet, Housecall Pro, and InVision, in the US and MENA.

Hossam Shafick, Investor at Silicon Badia, said, “Real-time data orchestration is a limitless global opportunity—whether in the US or the Middle East, businesses face the same challenges across universal marketing channels. Having backed data leaders like Amplitude and InfluxData, we believe data infrastructure is still ripe for disruption, especially with AI transformation, and believe Journify’s founders have the expertise to set the new standard in this space.”

Journify’s campaigns now reach over 30 million users across the Middle East and North Africa region, and the company has established partnerships with major platforms including TikTok, Google, and Snap.
