Saudi’s Blend raises $1.33 million pre-seed to streamline order management for restaurants

Riyadh-based software startup Blend has raised $1.33 million from a group of angel investors in a pre-seed round, it announced today, without disclosing the names of investors.

Founded in 2023 by Omar Alluhayyan, Blend enables restaurants, cafes, and cloud kitchen operators, to manage all their online orders from different food delivery platforms through a single dashboard. It currently supports five leading food delivery platforms in the Kingdom, including HungerStation, Jahez, The Chefz, To You, and Mrsool.

The restaurants generally have to use different devices or tabs for each food delivery partner to process the order. Blend solves this problem and integrates with the POS software of restaurants. It also offers different types of reports to make it easy for restaurant owners to track and manage their business.

According to its website, Blend charges $42 per month per branch for its annual plan and $64 per month per branch for the six-month plan.

The startup plans to use the latest funds to further enhance its product. Blend is currently available only in Saudi but plans to launch in other markets of the region, including Kuwait and Bahrain, by the end of 2025.

Dubai-headquartered Grubtech is also working in the same space and has raised about $19 million in total funding to date, including $15 million earlier this year.
